Commissioned by Health Canada and referred to simply as the 'Canadian Guidelines', these are the best and most insightful understanding of ME/CFS available anywhere in the world and contain an appropriate and credible approach to treatment and management.

We are indebted and very grateful to Dr Bruce Carruthers and the Canadian Guidelines Consensus Team for use of these Guidelines and also Dr Bruce Carruthers and Marjorie van de Sande for use of the briefer Overview Document. Hawthorn Medical Press first published the Guidelines in the Journal of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Volume 11, Number 1 2003 and we extend our thanks and gratitude to them also for their use.
