ME/CFS Society of WA: AFME/AYME Member Survey Results

Action for ME (AFME) and the Assoction for Youth with ME (AYME) have published the results of a large member survey done over recent months which included 2763 respondents.

When analysing the results of this survey readers may wish to bear in mind the vague and amorphous criteria used in the UK to diagnose ME/CFS . These and other similarly imprecise CFS diagnostic criteria select heterogenoeus (mixed) groups of illnesses/patients and have lead to much of the confusion and misunderstanding surrounding the disease. This survey will be similarly affected and may further contribute to this unhelpful confusion.
