What is ME/CFS?
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), is a complex chronic disease affecting multiple body systems/organs with the potential to cause devastating disability.

The disease is generally referred to as ME/CFS, but other commonly used names are Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome (PVFS), Post Infectious Fatigue Syndrome (PIFS) and Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome (CFIDS).
Living with ME/CFS
The chronic, persistent and poorly understood nature of ME/CFS may diminish the quality of medical and social support available to those affected.

Combined with potentially devastating physical disability, those affected and their carers may find themselves confronted by a unique and bewildering range of challenges.
